Mandela Barnes Surpasses 100K Donations, Continues to Gain Grassroots Momentum
MADISON, WI — Today, Wisconsin Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, candidate for U.S. Senate, announced that his campaign has surpassed 100,000 donations with an average donation of under $50, proving once again that he is the only candidate in the race with the grassroots momentum necessary to defeat Ron Johnson.
Mandela continues to lead with grassroots momentum:
- Over 100,000 donations
- More than $4 million raised to date
- Zero self-funding
- Not one dime in Corporate PAC money
“I’m so proud to have earned the support of so many workers, teachers, parents, students, and farmers who understand that together we have a lot more in common with each other than we do with any out-of-touch millionaire politician,” said Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes. “From the beginning, we have set out to build a people-powered movement to expand opportunities for the working families that Ron Johnson has continuously left in the dust – all while he delivered $215 million in tax breaks for his mega donors. I’ll continue to fight to bring family-sustaining jobs back home, address rising costs and supply chain issues, and uplift our family farmers so that Wisconsin’s middle class can have the fair shot we deserve.”
